Welcome to TokTalk. By downloading, accessing, or using the TokTalk application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the TokTalk service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. Our service is intended for users who are at least 16 years old.

2. The TokTalk Service

TokTalk provides an AI-powered voice-to-text dictation software application that runs on macOS and the Web (with other platforms in development). The service includes speech recognition, text formatting, and synchronization of personal dictionaries and snippets across authorized devices. We constantly update and improve the app; we may add or remove features at any time.

3. User Accounts and Subscriptions

  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Free Tier: We offer a free tier limited to 2,000 words per week. Abuse of the free tier including mass automated account creation is strictly prohibited.
  • Pro Subscriptions: Pro features are billed monthly or annually. Payments are non-refundable, except where required by EU law (such as the standard 14-day cooling-off period for digital subscriptions, provided you have not heavily utilized the service).
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time. You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing cycle.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use TokTalk for any unlawful or abusive activities. Specifically, you must not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the application or bypass its security measures.
  • Use the service to distribute malware, spam, or malicious software.
  • Utilize automated systems (bots, scrapers) to interact with our API.
  • Share a single Pro account across multiple users in a corporate environment (team licensing is required for multi-user business deployment).

5. Intellectual Property

TokTalk retains all right, title, and interest in the app, the brand, and the underlying technology.You retain complete ownership of all the content you create, dictate, or write using TokTalk. We claim no copyright or usage rights over your dictations or final text.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable European law, TokTalk and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service. While we strive for perfect accuracy, AI transcription is inherently probabilistic; we are not responsible for consequences arising from transcription errors.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
